Embodied Decolonizing Therapy

My trainings, therapy and consultations hold the intention of supporting and nurturing the embodied experience of anti-capitalistic, decolonizing, freedom and liberation focused therapy.

Liberation focused therapy emphasizes how identity development is often damaged, thwarted, or complicated when growing up within a greater system of social relations that are, to so many of us, oppressing, dehumanizing, and alienating.

Freedom Focused therapy supports an individual's ability to engage in society, commerce and leisure and to have their humanity and needs recognized by systems of authority.

Decolonizing therapy focuses on doing ancestral work, intergenerational trauma work, and dealing with rage as a function and a normal understanding system of living in a world that

continues to oppress us and not provide many of us with what we need. It also recognizes that for many Black, Indigenous and Brown individuals

the trauma from oppression and colonization plays a major role in their state of mental health.

Anti-capitalistic therapy acknowledges the harmful impacts of capitalism on mental health and well-being. Living

in a system where profit and productivity are prioritized over human needs can exacerbate stress, anxiety, burnout,
and feelings of disconnection. Decolonizing therapy encourages connection with community.
